Bulldogs end summer hoops

Colfax basketball players ended their summer campaign last week. Coach Reece Jenkin reported the varsity squad, normally with 11 players, logged about 30 games over the summer campaign, and the jayvee players participated in approximately 15 games.

The team competed in the Lewiston summer league which included jayvee and varsity games. Another stop on the summer circuit was the Eastern Washington University tournament.

The jayvee unit was made up of freshmen and sophomores, and some of those players rotated between the two squads.

The summer’s campaign provided court time for the young Bulldog squad which graduated six seniors off the team that took the 2B title last March in the Spokane Arena.
