SEL begins construction on Pullman R&D building

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc., has announced the start of construction on a new 97,000-square-foot building on their Pullman campus. The building will have a footprint similar to the Solution Delivery Center finished earlier this year and will sit adjacent to the SEL Event Center and company headquarters on Schweitzer Drive.

Groundwork has been steady on the new building, which will house laboratory space and research and development offices. The building will feature concrete tilt-up exterior wall panels and steel framing. This is the first building designed and constructed with SEL’s own in-house property management team.

SEL Founder and President, Dr. Edmund O. Schweitzer, III, said innovation is what drives the company’s success during a time when many companies are slowing down.

SEL has 51 domestic offices and 43 international offices and three manufacturing facilities in the United States and one in Mexico. There are currently more than 3,400 SEL employees worldwide.
