False alarm fire at Oakesdale

Oakesdale fire crew were called to a fire that never really was Tuesday afternoon. The call went out for a structure fire at the Oakesdale Masonic Temple shortly after 3 p.m. Workers from M&P Construction of Garfield were repairing the roof on the building when their work caused timbers inside the building to smolder. Volunteers from crews from Oakesdale District 10 responded and quickly left the scene. Rosalia volunteers were also placed on alert but later advised to disregard.
