Local 4Hers qualify for state fair

Five local 4Hers qualified for the state 4H fair in Puyallup Sept. 14 to compete in dog classes.

Saturday, Aug. 25, eight youth turned out to compete in the dog classes at the only qualifying event in Whitman County.

Colby and Macy Bishop, children of Peter and Julie Bishop of Colton, both advanced to state in showmanship, novice obedience, novice regular agility and novice jumpers.

Both competed in the state fair last year.

Cortney Fleener, daughter of Craig and Carol Fleener of Palouse, advanced in showmanship and pre-novice obedience.
