Thirty-eight attend Colfax reunion

The Colfax alumni luncheon in Spokane Aug. 6 brought a total of 38 people. Special guest of honor was teacher and Coach Jack Bafus. He came to Colfax about 1948 to teach sixth grade at the Martha Washington School. He then went to Jennings Elementary. When Coach Len Pyne retired in 1956, Mr. Bafus became the basketball coach at Colfax High School in 1956 and coached through 1960. Mr. Bafus and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 11.

Hank Rodeen from the class of 1944 and his wife flew up from San Diego to spend the weekend in Colfax with Harvey and Cubby Herman and then attended our luncheon Monday. Marilyn Skeets Clossen was also a first-time visitor.

The next luncheon will be Monday, Oct. 1.
