Neighboring Pullman will be the lone foe for Saturday’s volleyball jamboree at Colfax. Colfax Coach Sue Doering Tuesday was still attempting to line up another guest, but if she’s unsuccessful the Bulldogs and hounds will play a six-game match.
WIAA rules place a six-game limit on pre-season jamborees.
Colfax varsity, junior varsity and C squads will play in the three gyms starting at 9 a.m.
First full match for the Bulldogs will be a trip to Freeman Tuesday with a non-leaguer against the Scotties who now play in the NE-A division.
The Bulldog varsity lineup includes four seniors, five juniors and three sophomores.
They are Amelie Bruya, Sidney Huber, Rachel Robinson and Deanna Aeschliman, seniors; Nicole Sheer, Taylor Larsen, Cassie Vorderbrueggen, Bailey Mackleit and Leah Heiner, juniors; Amara Huber, Kindra Kneale and Kori Goodwin, sophomores;
Jayvee players are Bekah Kraut, Carolyn Knaack, Scout Cai and Olivia Mellor. That lineup of five players will need help from the other two teams to get a starting six on the floor. Shawna Kneale is back coaching the jayvees.
C-squad players will be Maia Gingerich, Maddie Thomas and Kelly Ward, sophomores; Sidney Sheer, Kylie Gronning, Alison Dunning, Brittany Parker and Katelyn Scholz, freshmen.
Bulldog net grad Maggie Cochran is coaching the C squad.
