Net teams win non-leaguers

Five county teams rolled up wins in volleyball action in the Tuesday round with Tekoa and Colton again booking strong wins. The Nighthawks took out Lind/Ritzville/Sprague in three straight in the Tuesday round, 25-18 25-11 and 25-18.

Eden Anderson and Cassie Mendoza each had eight kills for the ‘hawks and Mendoza hit six aces.

Colton stopped Pomeroy in a five-game battle on the Pirates court with the Wildcats taking the fifth game decider 15-12. Jenna Moser put down 25 kills for the Wildcats and Kaden Dahmen finished with 25 assists.

Line score for the match was 25-16 23-25 20-25 25-13, and 15-12.

The SJE girls also posted a win in five at Asotin with a 15-11 decider over the Panthers in the fifth game.

Line score for the battle was 22-25 24-26 25-18 25-22 and the 15-11.

Garfield/Palouse also rolled through four games in a battle with Dayton at Garfield. Cassie Thompson had 23 kills in the long match, and Chandler Pfaff put up 35 assists. Holly Leendertsen and four aces ands two blocks.

Rosalia’s Spartans fell to Liberty in a non-leaguer in the Tuesday round. Hannah Sims had two blocks and four kills, and Mackenzie Reddish booked seven digs.

Line score for the Liberty win was 25-8 26-24 and 25-18.
