Carlon trial delayed

The trial date for L. Travis Carlon, Pine City area resident, has been delayed until after the February murder trials of Frank and Daniel Lazcano. The Lazcanos have been charged with the shooting death of Marcus Schur, Rosalia, last Dec. 27 in Malden.

Carlon has been charged with rendering criminal assistance to the Lazcanos. Prosecutor Denis Tracy told the court Friday morning Carlon is expected to be a witness in the Lazcano trials. The brothers have been scheduled for separate trials.

A scheduling hearing for Carlon was slated for March 8. He also waived his speedy trial rights.
