Colfax Crawdads posted two more wins over Pullman-Moscow Saturday to remain in eighth place in the Spokane Senior Babe Ruth league’s fall league. The Crawdads finished at 5-5 and will now play in the final tournament at Spokane this weekend.
As the number-eight team they will play number-one team, Mission Valley, Mont. The league winners have commuted to Spokane for league action and rolled up a 9-1 record. Saturday’s first round will be a loser-out round event with the four winners advancing to the semi round.
In their last league round at Pullman, the Crawdads defeated Moscow-Pullman 7-1, with Jarod Paul pitching the win. Patrick Jacobs of Colfax batted 3-3 and Garrett Burke 2-4. Brent Becker had a key RBI hit.
In their last league game, the locals posted an 11-1 win with Jacobs striking out eight over four innings. Paul hit 3-3, and Jeff Davies had the RBI hit which shut the game down under the league’s 10-run rule.
