Eagle runners hit perfect 15

St. John/Endicott Eagle girls booked a perfect 15 team score Saturday in the Lake Roosevelt Invitational run which featured Coulee Dam in the background of the 2.8 mile course.

The Eagles had five runners in the top six places, but they were allowed to compile a first -five score for the team entry.

Clair McIntyre of Republic booked a number-four finish, but the Tigers lacked enough runners for a team entry.

Heather Siegel again took the win with a time of 19:03. Other Eagles at the finish were Jordan Porubek, 2nd at 20:10; Shania Baile,y, 3rd at 20:17; Sami Bailey, 5th at 21:02; Jade Porubek, 6th at 21:02, and Annie Bailey, 9th at 22:55. McIntryre’s fourth-place time was 20:28.

Tonasket had the only other team scored in the event at 58.

Duncan Forsman of Republic won the boys race at 16:12. Luke Bailey placed 13th for the Eagles at 18:36, and Justin Wargo 19th at 19:24. Jacob Blakeley clocked 23:16 for 8th in the jayvee race.

The Eagles were slated to run in the Walla Walla Valley Academy meet on the Whitman Mission grounds Wednesday.

The Eagles will host their lone home run on the golf course next Wednesday.
