Colfax volleyball players finished a 7-0 sweep of the NE league Tuesday night at St. George’s to earn the top slot in the district playoffs Saturday at Davenport. The Bulldogs are booked to start the playoff round at 2 p.m. Saturday against the winner of the LRS-Davenport match.
Reardan finished number-two in the NE at 6-1. Northwest Christian, LRS, and Davenport finished in a three-way tie at 4-3.
The NE round at Davenport will decide the five NE entrants for the regional round the following week against SE qualifiers at West Valley.
Colfax rolled to St. George’s Tuesday after a bye in the league action and swept the Dragons in three games, 25-5 25-6 and 25-1.
Rachel Robinson linked nine serve points in the first game, and Taylor Larsen linked eight in the second game.
Kori Goodwin, who hit 15-15 serving with four aces, ran a string of 14 in the last game.
Larsen finished with 13 kills, one block and four aces.
Amelie Bruya served 12-12 with five aces and 11 assists, and Amara Huber had a 15-16 serving night with five aces and six digs.
Nicole Sheer booked nine kills and a block, and DeAnna Aeschliman had four kills and a block.
Sidney Huber had four kills and five assists, and Leah Heiner booked five assists.
The NE league sweep moved the overall Colfax net record to 21-2 on the season.
