Empire to feature ‘Beatles’ tribute
Revolver, the Northwest’s premier Beatles tribute band, will perform in concert Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Empire Theatre in Tekoa. Starting time is set for 7 p.m. The Spokane-based group uses the Fab Four’s original arrangements for the pieces, dresses in the classic wardrobe with suits, boots and hair. They even play instruments of the early Beatles era.
Formed in the spring of 2005, the group features dozens of Beatles hits from 1963 to 1966, including the entire “Revolver” album, considered by many to be the artistic pinnacle of the Beatles’ career.
Band members are Mitch Tiner (John), Casey Ellis (George), Terry Yeager (Paul) and Chris Krzywda (Ringo). Their professional careers in music total more than 100 years.
Revolver’s last appearance in the Empire was several years ago, not long after they had decided to focus exclusively on Beatles material. Since then they have performed hundreds of shows throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and western Canada.
Admission will be $15 for adults, students $5, and 12 & under free. Adult refreshments will be available in the theatre lobby.
