Obituary - Doug Gruol

Memorial services for Douglas G. Gruol, 64, St. John, will be Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at the Colfax Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. Gruol died Sept. 29, 2012, in Everett.

Born June 8, 1948, in Seattle to Russell and Ruth Lam Gruol, he grew up in the Seattle area. Shortly after his graduation from Cascade High School in Everett in 1967, he joined the United States Air Force and served 20 years until his retirement in eastern Washington in 1987.

He married Debra Lee Knott March 31, 1975. Mrs. Gruol died in 2004. During their marriage they lived in Spokane, Germany, Colfax and Endicott. He was active in his church and communities and enjoyed building model airplanes and cars.

He is survived by his brothers Jerry, Mike and Kelly.
