Kathleen James Vogeler, 52, died unexpectedly Nov. 18, 2012, at home in Palouse. A celebration of life remembrance will be today, Nov. 29, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., in the WSU Smith Center for Undergraduate Education, Room 518A.
Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Dec. 18, 1959, to Lester and Virginia James, she moved with her family to Seattle in 1960. She graduated from Interlake High School and moved to the Palouse region in 1979. She worked at Washington State University for 28 years after joining Information Services as a telecommunications technician in 1984. She became a telecom consultant in 1989 and worked with departments in designing and installing their telecom systems.
She was an avid gardener and landscaper, remodeler and builder, painter, decorator and gourmet cook. She never missed her friends’ birthdays, graduations, weddings, showers and memorials.
She is survived by her son, Ian R. Vogeler, sisters, Diana James and Terri (Mark) Boyd.
