Oakesdale art students display work

Oakesdale High School honors art program has made its way out into the community. A group of students from the second-year program took a field trip to display work in three county businesses last week.

In September, Oakesdale art students completed a mural spanning two sides of the Oakesdale school building. The work decorated an area where shrubs were removed last spring, creating an empty wall.

“Our honors chapter is relatively new, we’re still defining ourselves,” said Oakesdale art teacher Patty Mills.

Participation in the program requires students hold a B average.
