Country Bible Church will have Ray and Twyla Fried as guest speakers at their 11 a.m. service on Sunday, Dec. 30. Ray is retired from Hewlitt-Packard in Liberty Lake. They now volunteer their time and professional computer expertise working with Christian work. In the last 15 years, they have spent time in China, Nepal, Albania and recently returned from Turkey.
They maintain their residence in Liberty Lake and are now home while Ray works on a project for Missionary Aviation Fellowship based out of Nampa, Idaho.
They will be give a powerpoint presentation complete with pictures of places they have traveled. All are welcome to attend Country Bible Church.
Two weeks ago, Linda Hennigar attended the Desert Hills Middle School Christmas concert in the Tri-Cities. Her grandson, Wesley Banks, plays trumpet in the seventh grade band, two jazz bands and had two solos during the performance.
Last Tuesday, 15 family members met in the home of David and Phyllis Stueckle for their Christmas celebration. Attending were Doug and Cheryl Stueckle and Ashleigh of Coeur d’ Alene, Nathan and Rebecca Stueckle of San Antonio, Texas, Anne Marie Stueckle and Aurora and Sylis of Coeur d’ Alene, and Karen and Larry Light and Joanne, Emmaly and Joshua of Portland.
Carrie Pitts, Yakima, arrived at the home of her parents, Kim and Cindy Pitts, Friday evening. She will stay until after New Year’s when her teaching duties resume.
Funeral services for former Dusty native Elsie Broeckel Mock were at the Waitsburg Christian Church Saturday. Local attendees were her brother Oscar Broeckel, Dusty, niece and nephew-in-law, Doreen and Tom Riedner, Genesee, and cousins Jeanette and Cliff Nolan, Colfax, and Karen Broeckel, Dusty.
Larry and Di Brink’s plans for Christmas week were to spend Christmas Eve at the home of Don and Carol Keeney in LaCrosse and Christmas Day with their son’s family, Kevin and Amber Brink and children, in Kennewick.
