Restroom funding attracts more supporters

Keeping the Palouse Heritage Park restrooms open this winter will be more than a Chamber of Commerce project.

After budget talks among the Palouse city council raised the prospect of closing the restrooms over the coldest months to save money, Palouse Chamber of Commerce president Bev Pearce came to the council’s Dec. 11 meeting to say the Chamber would cover the cost.

After that, other groups came forward as well, including the Palouse Lions Club and Blair Land and Livestock, which challenged others to match their $100 donation.
