Gar-Pal principal to change roles

Gar-Pal high school and elementary school principal Darcy Eliason has a new position which began Monday, Jan. 7.

Eliason is now the school’s Curriculum Director, helping to bring the district in compliance with the coming Common Core Standards, the national set of standards which under state law will begin in Washington in September 2013.

She will remain a full-time employee in her new role.

“This is good,” said Palouse Superintendent Jake Dingman. “This is very good for the district.”

Dingman is also the superintendent of Oakesdale schools.
