Marjorie Jordan
Marjorie Aeschliman Jordan, 90, passed away on Monday morning, Jan. 7, 2013, in McMinnville, Ore.
The eldest of four children, she was born on Feb. 16, 1922, to Ira and Hazel (Arrasmith) Aeschliman, and raised on a farm near Colfax. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1941 and went to college at the University of Idaho where she received her masters degree in music education.
Marjorie married Eugene Jordan in 1947 in Colfax and lived in the Pacific Northwest until 1950 when they moved to California. She also taught school with her husband in Riggins, Idaho, where they were two of four high school teachers.
She was an accomplished pianist, educator, choir director, seamstress, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Eugene; son Brian of San Diego; daughter, Nancy (Hayward) of Dayton, Ore .; eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her brothers, Donald and Wayne, and sister, Gladys.
Graveside service is Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Colfax Cemetery.
