The Rosalia boys evened their record at 6-6 (4-4 in league) with a win over Tekoa/Oakesdale Tuesday night at home, 57-40.
Craig Nelson led the Spartans with 18 points while Zane Brown had nine points, six rebounds and four steals. Mica Pittsley added eight points while Brock Shelton had seven.
Max Mueller led Tekoa-Oakesdale with 14 points and 11 rebounds while…. Pluff had 11 points. Jesse Johnson added eight points and six rebounds.
The Nighthawks led the game early, 15-13 going into the second quarter before Rosalia built a 29-21 lead at halftime.
The game marks the completion of the first half of league play for Rosalia.
Pomeroy 51, Rosalia 48
The Spartans cut a 10-point deficit to three in the last three minutes of the game Jan. 5 before Ryan Maley missed a three-pointer at the buzzer to fall short.
Nelson led Rosalia with 25 points in the loss, while Pomeroy’s Tanner Fieder scored 25 points as well, on 12-for-17 shooting.
