First baby 2013 born at WHMC

Georgia Rae Marchand was the first baby born at Whitman Hospital and Medical Center in 2013. Weighing seven pounds, one ounce, she was born Jan. 14 to Hailey Bergey and Justin Marchand of St. John. She joins sister Rhiley, 1 1/2.

For being the first baby of the year, Georgia was given a wagon filled with stuffed animals, books, swaddlers, blankets, clothes, slippers and toys. Items in the wagon were donated by Whitman Hospital and Medical Center, Whitman Hospital Staff, Grandmother’s Shop, Rosauers, Colfax Police and Fire and Tick Klock.
