Newtown aftermath brings changes to Colfax district

In the aftermath of the Newtown, Conn., elementary school shooting, changes have come to Colfax schools, with potentially more on the horizon.

The entrance to Jennings Elementary School in Colfax reflects changes in security in the school district.

After an initial wave of adjustments at Jennings Elementary School, including a new buzzer at the front door and locking all doors during school hours, Principal Tom Arlt and District Superintendent Michael Morgan summoned an architect to recommend additional changes.
