Obituary - DIXIE LEE HYRNIAK

Dixie Lee Hyrniak, 75, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 10, at her home in Tekoa from an apparent heart attack.

She was born Dec. 5, 1937, at Los Angeles to William and Marie Bishop. She grew up in southern California and attended schools in Glendale (Glendale High School) and Redondo Beach, Calif. Dixie lived in northern Idaho and eastern Washington where she worked several years as a restaurant cook. She had made her home in Tekoa for the past 15 years and had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Tekoa Care Center until health reasons forced her to retire.

Dixie enjoyed helping people and was always a hard worker. Dixie enjoyed her animals.

Survivors include a daughter, Genny Helling of Spokane; sisters Sharon Tous of San Diego, Calif., and India Bishop of Sandpoint, Idaho. Also surviving is a special friend, Ron Bradin of Tekoa.

Her remains will be cremated and no public service is scheduled.

Kramer Funeral Home of Tekoa is handling the arrangements.
