Serving Whitman County since 1877
Community Bank, headquartered in Joseph, Ore., opened its doors at 594 SE Bishop Boulevard, Suite 101, in Pullman Friday. Since 2011, the bank has loaned more than $10 million to farmers and businesses in Pullman and Colfax from its Clarkston branch. That level of loan demand created a need for a local presence.
The new loan office will offer a location for the bank’s current business and agricultural loan customers and potential customers in the region.
Aaron Johnson, Community Bank’s vice president/commercial loan officer, will head the Pullman office. Johnson joined Community Bank in the spring of 2011 with prior commercial lending experience from the Bank of Whitman. He is a graduate of WSU and played defensive line for the Cougar football team. He’s also attending Pacific Coast Banking School at UW in Seattle, an industry leading program for potential executives in the banking industry.
“I look forward to spending 100 percent of my time in the Pullman area again,” Johnson said.
Mark Turner, vice preseint and commercial loan officer, will remain at the Clarkston location and will continue providing customer service to the Lewis-Clark Valley from that location.
