Grandmothers donate to hospital, auxiliary

Members of Colfax Thrifty Grandmothers presented checks they donated to Whitman Hospital and Medical Center’s kitchen and the Hospital Auxiliary recently.

The grandmothers donated $1,500 to the hospital for kitchen and dietary equipment and $500 to the hospital auxiliary.

The grandmothers operate a gift shop on Main Street in Colfax that is doing so well the group is able to donate more money to area organizations.

They also donated $1,000 to the St. Baldrick’s fundraiser at Colfax High School on Feb. 13.
