St. Baldrick’s total to clear $13,000

Colfax school board member and St. Baldrick’s Foundation head-shaving event treasurer Brian Becker noted Monday night that the Feb. 13 fundraiser’s proceeds will clear $13,000.

Originally the total was slated at $11,000 but donations have kept coming after the event.

Becker said that between $1,000 and $1,500 in funds have been received since the shavings at Colfax High School to benefit childhood cancer research. Colfax High sophomore Andrew Becker (Brian’s son) spearheaded the school-assembly event.
