Deanna J. Nagle

Deanna J. Nagle, long-time Potlatch resident who had lived in Lewiston since 1989, died last Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho.

A funeral mass was held Saturday, March 2, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Potlatch. A family urn burial at the Freeze Cemetery preceded the mass.

Born June 3, 1938, at Eau Claire, Wis., to Dean and Muriel Carlson Curtis, she moved with her family to Spokane and three years later to Potlatch.

She and Jerry A. Nagle were married July 2, 1954, and they made their home at Potlatch in the Deep Creek area. He was employed by Potlatch Forest, Inc., in Potlatch until it closed and the couple moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for five years and then to Lewiston.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Alter Society when they lived at Potlatch. She also was a leader for the FMBE 4-H club for many years, a member of the Silver Spurs Saddle Club and Pinochle Club. She enjoyed camping with family and friends, attending draft horse shows and grandkid’s sporting events.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Jerry, Lewiston; four sons, Bill Nagle (Sandy), Rathdrum, Idaho; Michael Nagle (Roxanna) Potlatch; Pat Nagle (Val) Princeton; Tom Nagle (Sarah) Uniontown; three daughters, Debby Hamburg (Roger) St. Maries; Christy Griswold (Mike) Potlatch; Sandy Wessling (Scott), Rathdrum; her mother, Muriel Thompson, Potlatch; two sisters, Patti Walters (Gene), Potlatch; Vicki Rumfelt, Anchorage, Alaska; a brother-in-law, Theron Burgess of Middleton; 20 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
