Patchin’ People
Patchin’ People of Pullman quilt group will meet Monday, March 11. Their meetings are open to all quilters and those interested in fiber arts. They meet from 1 to 3 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1015 NE Orchard, Pullman. The program will be A Visit to the International Quilt Festival in Houston.
Cub Pack 419
Cub Scout Pack 419 graduated two fifth grade Webelos during the annual Blue and Gold Dinner Thursday, Feb. 21, at Franklin Elementary School. Thomas Horstkamp received the Arrow of Light, the highest award achieved by a Cub Scout. The award received was a decorated Indian wooden arrow hand crafted by Dr. Dan David.
After the presentation, they performed a crossover ceremony involving Boy Scout Troop 444 led by Scoutmaster Jeff Jones. The graduated Webelos were Thomas Horstkamp and William Oviatt. The Webelos den leader is Aurora Horstkamp. Pack 419, representing Franklin, Sunnyside and Pullman Christian elementary schools is sponsored by the Pullman Lions Club and is led by Cub Master Mike Heston.

Carousel
Washington State University School of Music presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Carousel” during Mom’s Weekend at 8 p.m. Friday, April 12, and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in Bryan Hall.
Named the best musical of the 20th century by Time magazine, the show includes the upbeat “June is Bustin’ Out All Over” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
The cast consists of 27 WSU students, led by graduate student Rodrigo Cortes as Billy Bigelow and junior vocal performance major Sami Cottam as Julie Jordan.
