A week ago Tuesday, David and Phyllis Stueckle were in Kennewick to visit an old Navy buddy of David’s. It has been 60 years since the men last saw each other. The Stueckles also attended some of the state basketball tournament games in Spokane.
Harmon and Jan Smith met Gina and Jason Morgan and Micah in Spokane and spent Thursday through Sunday enjoying the State B Tournament. Jan’s sister, Dianne, and niece, Karen, joined them for some games Friday.
Friday evening dinner guest of Karen Broeckel was her great nephew, Austin Beasley. Now a sophomore at WSU, he is writing a paper on his German from Russia heritage. He came to pick his great aunt’s brain and left with photos and research material to aid in his project.
Saturday, cousins Gary Grewell and Suzanne and Jim Bryan of Olympia made a surprise visit to Lucky and Joan Myrick. They had been to Pullman to visit Jim’s brother. They also make a short stop at the home of Mark and Kathy Vogler.
Wednesday, March 13, at 1 p.m., the Dusty B.B. Club will meet at the home of Dianne Appel for the program of making scrubbies presented by Lee Bates. Roll call response will be “your favorite pet.”
