Steptoe Friendly Mart owner plans come back

A pickup pulls away from the Steptoe Friendly Mart Monday afternoon after the driver was unsuccessful in an attempt to purchase gas. The owners of the mini mart stopped purchasing gas some time ago, but will begin stocking gas in the near future.

Steptoe Friendly Mart doesn’t have gasoline to sell at present, and its grocery shelves are a bit bare, but the owners say that will change.

An employee at the mini-mart said the owner stopped purchasing gas. The worker also said the store still has the same groceries, but has cut down on some brands.
