Three will compete for Tekoa crown

“If the Shoe Fits” will be the theme for the 2013 Tekoa royalty program Saturday, March 16, at the Empire Theater. Three entrants will compete in interview, talent, poise and composure and impromptu question categories.

Morgan Angelo is a member of National Honor Society and coaches the Tekoa swim team. In her spare time Morgan loves to go four-wheeling and play softball. She will play “Fandango” on the piano.

Dawn Marie Konshuk has chosen to play a violin piece entitled “Tangerine Rag.” She plans to pursue a career in auto mechanics. Dawn Marie is a Star Certified caretaker and a member of Washington Drug Free Youth.

Cassandra Mendoza will perform a tap dance to “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.” She enjoys scrapbooking and playing club volleyball. Cassandra is the current FFA treasurer and a member of the Future Problem Solvers.

Queen Ce’Nedra Thomas and princesses, Kayler Dub, Nicole Zimmerman and Darby Ratz will also perform. Ray Bernard will be master of ceremonies. The program begins at 6 p.m. and admission is $5 with children under 5 free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available through royalty members, at Éclair’s Coffee & Company and at the door.
