Carlon, Evensen court dates set

Court dates for two defendants who testified as witnesses in the trials of the Lazcano brothers last month were set last Friday, March 8, in superior court.

Frank Lazcano was convicted of first degree murder March 1 after a one-week trial, and Daniel Lazcano faces a second trial after the jury in his case could not reach a verdict on kidnapping and murder charges after a two-week trial. Both brothers were convicted of unlawfully disposing of Marcus Schur’s body in the creek at Hole-in-the-Ground after Schur was fatally shot in Malden Dec. 27, 2011.
