Whitman County commissioners Monday approved reducing the minimum size of commercial lots from three acres to two acres in the Pullman-Moscow corridor zone.
According to Alan Thomson, county planner, two acres is the minimum development size that is regulated by the state Department of Health.
Thomson also said there might be some wiggle room on the regulated size depending on the soil drainage.
Last year, land owners and realtors from the corridor asked for changes to allow developments under the three-acre minimum.
