Malden teen still missing

Donavin D. Stapert, 17, reported missing March 7, still has not been located, Whitman County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Chapman said late Tuesday.

The boy was last seen in Malden March 7 at 2:20 a.m. and he reportedly said that he intended to catch a bus to Oregon.

Deputies believe he could be in Spokane or Grants Pass, Ore. Sgt.Chapman said the sheriff’s office has not received any leads.

Donavin is 5-4 and weighs 140 pounds. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans with a hole in the left knee and blue Nikes with white soles.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Chapman or Sgt. Dan Brown at the sheriff’s office.
