Prospectors’ outing scheduled this weekend

The Clearwater Chapter of the Northwest Gold Prospectors Association will have its 14th annual free public outing at Gibbs Eddy, 14 miles east of Lewiston March 23-24.

The event offers a chance to learn how to dredge, highbank, sluice and pan for gold.

The event will from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Organizers will provide pop and cookies while picnic tables are available.

Gibbs Eddy is an Idaho Fish and Wildlife boat ramp and fishing area along Highway 12.
