60th fete for Hiltys set

Gene and Margaret Doty Hilty will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 24, 2013.

After they both graduated from Colfax High School in 1952, they were married at the Colfax Methodist Church March 6, 1953. They made their home in Colfax for 30 years. They then travelled the United States, teaching people to drive horses and mules. They have recently returned to the area and now make their home in Garfield.

There will be an open house in their honor at the Colfax Best Western Motel from 2 to 4 p.m. It will be hosted by their daughters, Janet Hedlund, Garfield; Barb Schluneger, Colfax; Chris Powers, Wapato, and Nancy Brunson, Platteville, Colo.
