Colfax , Freeman girls split McDonald marathon

Colfax and Freeman booked a marathon split Tuesday in the softball opener at McDonald Park. The Scotties took the first game 17-7 after Colfax had posted an early lead. The Bulldogs came back for a 15-12 win in the second game to wrap up over four hours of action.

Kasey Cloaninger pitched the first game. She struck out four Scotties, walked seven and allowed 11 hits. She was also hampered by nine Colfax errors.
