Colfax track team launches at Lewiston

The Colfax track team Saturday started the new season against some of the east side big teams at the Lewiston Invitational. The event brought in 10 girls teams with the Bulldogs taking 25 points for ninth place.

Colfax boys rolled up 14 points to place 11th out of 13 teams. Walla Walla dominated both sides of the meet with the Blue Devil boys stacking 169 points and the girls totaling 180 for a 72-point margin over number-two Lewiston.

Freshman Scout Cai had the top mark for Colfax with a number two finish in the high jump at 5-2. Lauren McCluskey of Pullman won the event with a 5-4.
