Colton, Colfax ballots out

Ballots were mailed out Friday for the special school elections for the Colton and Colfax school districts. Colton school directors are seeking voters’ approval for a $5.6 million bond over 30 years to finance upgrades to the school building.

Colfax school directors seek approval of a $250,000 special levy for security improvements to the high school and grade school.

A total of 2,623 ballots were mailed to voters in the Colfax district, and 764 were mailed to voters in the Colton and Uniontown areas. As of Tuesday, 230 of the Colfax ballots had been returned and 131 of the Colton ballots had been returned.

Election deadline is Tuesday, April 23.
