Volunteers honor Hodges

Approximately 75 people surprised retiring Palouse EMS Coordinator Gloria Hodges Friday at Palouse. The reception was at the William A. Wolf Public Safety Building to honor Hodges’ 28 years as a volunteer for the Palouse EMS. The event took place at the conclusion of a blood drive at the building. When Hodges stepped inside the van to give blood, her colleagues pulled out hidden decorations and refreshments. They had them all set up by the time Hodges emerged. “She had no idea,” said Annie Pillers, another Palouse E.M.S. volunteer.
