Lisa Frei and Caroline Kunkel hosted a family bridal shower for Jessica Stavig at the home of Helen Appel. Jessica is the daughter of Bob and Deb Appel Stavig of Brush Prairie. Guests at the Appel home were Deb and Jessica Stavig, Brush Prairie, and Barb Wollstein, Lacey.
Easter guests at the Dick and Helen Appel home were Phil Appel, Spokane; Eric, Shannon, Connor, Christopher, Sarah, Kyle and Sidney Appel, Dusty; Neil, Josh, Noemie and Isaac Appel, Dusty; Lisa, Travis, Miriam, Rachel and Emma Frei, Colfax; and Susan and Joe Lynch, Pullman.
Art and Colene Sager spent Friday in Spokane. Besides the usual errands, they took time to enjoy a drive to the Riblet mansion that overlooks Spokane Valley which is now Arbor Crest Winery. The home was built in 1924 and the history and view are well worth the trip.
It can be reached by driving north on Argonne and then east on Upriver Drive. They also took in “Art Walk” in downtown Spokane where Vicki Broeckel’s paintings will be displayed during the month of April as a featured artist in the Dodson Gallery.
Wesley Banks visited his grandmother, Linda Hennigar from Wednesday through Friday of his spring break. On Friday, they visited with Wesley’s great-grandmother, Altona Wigen, as well as Goldie Foss and Norm and Gloria Erickson in Colfax. He was an audience of one at the Cross Country jam session where his parents, Jay and Tami Banks, picked him up to return to his home in the Tri-Cities.
Sunday, David and Phyllis Stueckle attended the sausage feed in Sprague. They were joined by Ann Emerson and Gayle Buri of Colfax.
