Commissioners to offer health post; start on EM director interviews

The Whitman County commissioners Monday morning approved offering the position of county Public Health Director to Troy Henderson of Pullman.

Henderson is retired from the military. He will replace Fran Martin who is retiring from the department and who also is the emergency management director.

Five applications were received for the position. The offer to Henderson will be made pending completion of a background check.

Interviews for the emergency management position will be in the next few weeks.
