Colfax High School’s “Mr. Bulldog” competition will be Monday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the CHS auditorium.
The annual event is a spoof of the Distinguished Young Women (formerly Junior Miss) program. Proceeds go to the Colfax Food Bank.
The 12 candidates contending to succeed Justin Beraducci’s crown are Bryce Kramlich, Judd Thompson, Skylar Simonson, Josh Huber, Cole Klaveano, Justin Williams, Brady Ellis, Justis Lauber, Chris Appel, John Mellor, Dalton McNeilly and Cole Neu.
The senior boys will compete in introductory dance, fitness, talent and poise and question.
The night promises opera, country rap, skits and a guest performance by Steven Maley of Rosalia.
Last year’s first runner-up, Kyle Johnson, will be one of the judges. Hosts are Jaycee Thompson, Brooklyn Schmidt, Jolee Aeschliman and Lindsay Webber.
“It is truly a production,” said FFA advisor Brian Long. “There’s no criteria other than at least be entertaining.”
The boys put the show together in two weeks.
Admission will be five pounds of food, five cans of food or five dollars.
