Rites at Tahoma will honor Brink

Dusty

Memorial services for former Dusty native, Kenneth Brink, will be Friday, April 19, at 1:15 at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, with full military honors. He was the last surviving child of Dusty pioneers Otto and Gussie Brink. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps for 28 years. Brink, who died November 12, 2012, was the uncle of Joan Myrick and Larry Brink.

Country Bible Church will meet in the church parking lot at 9:30 today, April 18, to pick up highway litter for the Adopt a Highway program. All are welcome.

Bob and Leanne Bafus joined the Country Bible Church as members last Sunday.

Denise Kendall spent part of her spring break at the home of her father, Oscar Broeckel. Doreen Riedner also spent an extended weekend with them.

Saturday, Kim and Cindy Pitts and Norm Bafus went to Spokane to watch grandson/great-grandson Rafe Carlson play soccer.
