Colfax’s Weitze adds golf medals

Colfax sophomore Hunter Weitze finished with a 82 Tuesday at the Fairways golf course at Cheney to lead another Bulldog golf win. Team membbers played 18 holes on the par 72 Fairways course.

Colfax again took team honors witha 476 with Odessa-Harrington 485 and Northwest Christian at 497.

Other cards for the Bulldogs were Kasey Johnson 88, Cody Gronning 96, Chris Koenig 104, Cole Neu 106, and Cody Muir 128.

Paige Mackleit placed second on the girls side with a 95, three stokes back of medalist Sadie Gardner of NWC.

At at Harrington Thursday Weitz led the field with a 40 and Colfax topped the team scores with a 227. Other Colfax scorers were Johnson 43, Koenig 46 and Gronning 47.

Mackleit booked a 51 and Sadie Gardner at 52 in non-team girl competition.
