Shed and scale project underway at Palouse

A new truck scale and dump shed are taking shape at the Palouse Grain Growers elevator at the west side of Palouse.

The project began Monday, April 9, after the co-op of 55 farmers received a deed correction from the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT), which affected the project’s conditional use permit.

According to Al Gilson, WSDOT spokesperson, when the section of railroad next to the elevators was sold to WSDOT there was a discrepancy in the deed.
