Stapert bail remains at $100,000

Bail for pre-trial release of Jason Stapert remains at $100,000 after he pleaded not guilty in superior court Friday morning to charges of burglary and theft in Malden. Stapert's trial date has been slated for June 17.

Judge David Frazier noted allegations against Stapert include participation of a juvenile in the alleged burglary April 6 of the Bobby Bilderback residence of Malden. The judge also noted Jason Stapert's lack of supervision of his deceased son, Donavin Stapert, 17, who the state contends was the victim of the drug homicide which has been charged against Bobby Bilderback and Chastity Bilderback who resided in the house that deputies contend Stapert burglarized.

The arrest report noted Bobby Bilderback itemized missing items at the Whitman County jail where he remains in lieu of posting bond.
