St. John students get early fair releases

St. John

The St. John Stock Show kicks off this weekend. Students will be released at noon. The weekend is filled with fitting and showing of lambs, hogs and steers.

Saturday is the 35th hog jog, a five mile competitive or two mile non competitive run. Registration and number pick up will be at 7:30 at the park. The 17th annual Pig Putt golf tournament is Sunday. Call Donna Hill to enter.

A copy of the SJE performance of Beauty Lou and the Country Beast can be bought at the St. John school office.

The FFA trap shooting team placed fourth in state as a team, and Marshall Bafus placed sixth individual.

Funky Junk will host a spring fling this Saturday. More than 20 vendors will be there.

Long-time St. John Coach Bill Hays recently celebrated his 80th birthday.

Erma Davis is home from rehab and doing well.
