Playing at Endicott Tuesday night, Gar-Pal had 10 players in the dugout, with three not with them due to an FFA commitment.

Nonetheless, the Vikings lead 5-4 in the fourth inning, then 8-6 in the fifth before scoring 11 runs in the top of the seventh.

Kaleb Shaub went 4 for 5 with 4 RBIs to lead the team while Cole Sanderson went 3 for 6.

On the mound, Wyatt Griner pitched the first two innings, allowing four hits with three walks and a strikeout. Shaub then threw the next four innings, giving up three hits and three walks with six strikeouts. In the seventh, Wyatt Mitchell started on the mound and gave up three hits and two walks with one out. Shaub went in to finish off the last two outs.

“I think we’re getting better in all phases of the game,” said Gar-Pal coach Jeremy Kimble. “Especially hitting.”

The Vikings (5-9 overall) will play next at home for a doubleheader against Pomeroy Saturday.
