Colfax girls rolled out 143.5 points Tuesday night on their home turf to top 10 guests for the lone home track show of the season. They posted a margin over 44 points above number-two Northwest Christian.
On the boys side of the meet Waitsburg/ Prescott rolled up 151 points to take the team honors with host Colfax placing second with 92. Reardan, which has edged Colfax in NE meets earlier this year, placed third with 87.
Bailey Mackleit and Olivia Mellor placed one-two in the 100 hurdles and 3-4 in the 300 hurdles behind Anna Henry of NWC
The girls’ relay team of Amelie Bruya, Nicole Sheer, Leah Heiner and Mackleit pegged another double win with a 53.43 in the 4 X 100 and a 1:53.85 in the 4 X 200.
Sheer also won the shotput at 32-2, and Taylor Cai won the discus at 130-2. Mellor placed second in the triple jump at 30-2, and fourth in the long jump at 14-4.5.
Lone individual win for the Bulldog boys came in the discus where Josh Brown uncorked a 121-7 sling to top James Hopkins of Reardan by over two feet.
Brown also had seventh-place finishes in the javelin at 111-0 and the shot put at 34-9.
The 4 x 100 relay team took the other win for the Colfax boys with a 46.4 time posted by Bo Claasen, Dylan Hall, Cody Fulfs, and Austin Corean.
Austin Corean placed second in both sprint events and the 400 to James Thompkins of WP. Justin Aucutt placed third in the 400 for Colfax.
Sam Dailey advanced his top mark in the pole vault to 11-6, good enough to place second behind the 12-0 win by Kenny Carr of Pomeroy.
